It only got worse when he got older and he started to be more "beautiful" to the eyes of those above him...Some of his captors finally met justice when knights of Ishgard intercepted them and discovered their "cargo" in Coerthas. As a teenager, Kanro escaped the knights after they deemed to kill the "dragonspawns" and fled to the Dravanian Forelands. He spent a long time living in the wilds until he gained acceptance from the hunters of Tailfeather after displaying his skills and gestures that he is not a threat to them, as he is simply just a lost soul surviving in the world. An elder hunter named Alexois, who lives outside of the settlement for his own personal tastes, took him in as a disciple as he saw potential and spirit past the scales on his skin. Hunting during the day and sharing stories while dancing to a bard's tune at night gave him some assurance that was long overdue. It was the start of his long healing process.Eventually, the call of adventure beckons for him and a hunter with no fear of any prey travels to take jobs and experience new things. One lucky chance led him to return back to Yanxia, expanding his knowledge and reunite with his father, a samurai-now-wanted fugitive of the Empire. Not only does he journey for himself, but in hope to find the remains of his broken family.During his travels, he comes across one eccentric Dalmascian with a dragon's blessing named Klair Gawain. For living off the land and hunting, he's quite experience with the first two meanwhile he only dabbles in mining for certain jobs.
He picked up dancing/performing as a child while in captivity of his trafficking ring. It helped as a distraction while surviving.
He still takes on prostitution jobs, despite his past as he has accepted what his body can do and uses it for his own reasons. It's both distraction, satisfaction, and money all at once.
His past "owners" are still around, they are hidden among the Far East and the seas to continue their work. A good chunk of them have been wiped out in Eorzea when Ishgardian knights interrupted their activities when they were traveling with their cargo. Kanro is one the surviving escapees of that incident.
He can speak/read common day Eorzean and Doman. While he can write, his handwriting is honestly rushed and hard to read.
He enjoys comfortable clothing and doesn't believe in society's "gendered" rules for them.
While he is more of an Archer than a Bard, he does touch upon music occasionally. He enjoys the sounds of the flute and Yanxian string instruments.
He loves nature and animals. All of it's elements, both kind and cruel. He has zero tolerance to those that disrespect them.
Despite being mostly outdoors all of his life, his skin doesn't stay tan for long.
The earring he wears on his left horn is from his mother, passed on by his father on their reunion. While it seems normal, it gives him a feeling that his mother is still well while on her own journey.
Occasionally he will fashion "trophies" of his hunts to give gifts as friends. Not exactly crafted works of art, but there is a lot of personal value behind it if Kanro gifts you one.

Reserved: At first expressions, Kanro doesn't speak much about himself and his words are straight to the point. He tends to be quiet to strangers, but he doesn't shy away from conversation. He's a great listener and does not like to talk over people. He's honest with his feelings and thoughts along with being respectful to others' wishes during interactions.Coy: Of course, there is allure in quiet modesty. Kanro does not shy away from flirting, even with strangers. With his honesty, he sees the beauty in people and comments about it if he feels the moment is right. Sometimes he will use honey words for his own gain, but it all depends on the situation.Serious: While life does have it's fun and games, Kanro takes his jobs very seriously. Mercenary work, hunting work, sex work- All is performed with a serious mindset. He mostly works alone, but can work with others as long as they don't joke around too much.Curious: Kanro enjoys learning new things and skills. Even things that he doesn't understand too well can make for an interesting fact for the day. He is willing to try anything at least once and always enjoys improving his current skills. He decided as a child that he would learn things for his own survival and interests, but now he just enjoys learning for the sake of it. Of course that type of curiosity will lead him to accidentally poking his nose into things he shouldn't have.Recovering: Some wounds have healed, others are still healing. Kanro reflects on the past while taking steps towards the future. The physical and mental scars he bears is proof that he is still surviving in this life and he wants to keep exploring, learning, and breathing the air of the world until he breathes his last.Beliefs: While he does bear a bit of a "survival of the fittest" mindset, that doesn't mean he turns away from helping another. Making connections makes good benefits. Kanro isn't much one to start fights, but he will certainly finish them if he was dragged into one. Revenge is a bit of a rough subject on him and he will give it as long as he doesn't base his whole life around it.
